Expansion Joints

Expansion Joints Non-metal Type[Fabric]

IW-F Series

Uses/Specifications/Features

What are Nonmetal Expansion Joints?

As opposed to stainless steel and high-alloy “metal-type” expansion parts, non-metal sheets such as rubber, glass fabric, PTFE etc., which are processed into expansion parts via sewing and attachment techniques are known as “non-metal types”.
They are also known as “Fabric-type”, “Canvas-type”, “Bellows-type”.

Uses
  • 1. Absorption of pipe thermal expansion
  • 2. Absorption of pipe shift due to earthquakes and land subsidence
  • 3. Vibration absorption for pumps, engines etc.
Specifications
  • – Working Pressure: -30kPa ~ +30kPa
  • – Working Temperature: room temperature ~ 1200°C
  • – Applied Fluid: Gas/Exhaust-gas/Dust
Features
  • 1. Large allowable displacement amount – As expansion part is a non-metal sheet, it can absorb a large displacement.
  • 2. Short interface – Placement in places with limited installation space is possible.
  • 3. Low reaction force – Is able to make reaction force operating in ducts and piping extremely small.
