NEURON conducted a trial of laser cutting for metal bellows using an in-house processing system that combines a fiber laser with a robot.
The objective was to automate the dimensional cutting of metal bellows.
Until now, the cutting process for metal bellows had been performed manually using a high-speed cutter.
As part of our DX initiatives, we began verifying a robotic cutting process aimed at labor savings and automation.
In this trial, we confirmed several positive outcomes:
-High cutting accuracy achieved by the laser
-Clean and smooth cut surfaces
-Reduced workload and stable quality ensured through automation
These results show strong potential for practical implementation in the future.
NEURON will continue to adopt advanced technologies to improve efficiency and enhance quality in our manufacturing operations.
