At the 2025 (74th) Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Irrigation, Drainage and Rural Engineering, held at Utsunomiya University from Tuesday, September 2 to Friday, September 5, our staff member Kanamaru delivered a presentation.
The presentation was titled “Pressure Loss in Metal Bellows-Type Expansion Joints.”
The presentation compared pressure‑loss values calculated using the current design formula with those obtained through actual hydraulic experiments.
The results showed that the measured values were significantly lower than the calculated ones, and this finding was reported as a key outcome.
Since the establishment of the Pipeline Resilience Laboratory in November 2022, we have been fortunate to collaborate with many researchers from academic institutions.
As we continue our research on pipeline disaster prevention, we are continually impressed by the breadth of this field and the large number of conferences and academic forums related to it.
We will continue our research activities with strong commitment, contributing to Japan’s efforts toward disaster prevention, mitigation, and national resilience.
